Events as of 03.11.00
- Today was the day. At 1:30pm EST the CNN interview aired. On "Science
& Technology Week". The title of the bit? "Geeks Who Rock"...
Never really thought of myself as a geek... more of a Freak. All in all I think
it went pretty well. Look for the video clips to be appearing in the av section
soon.
- Also of note... Apparantly FOX picked up the some of the news story/feed and
aired some clips on 03.09.00. Also very cool, just wish we would have seen it.
- Nothing Sacred the video has been added!!! To Sleep will be added to the av
section as well... just need to encode it first.

- Taking
a little break for a while...
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 08.29.99
- In the never
ending pursuit to satisfy my self promoting media whore tendancies Ben and I
(James) were interviewed by CNN Science and Technology news regarding high tech
people who are also in bands. Who knew it was that interesting?
- I feel a dull
pain in my back.
- I'm thinking
of going with the kanji+nomad project av image (from the opening flash) as the
new logo. Opinions?
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 06.09.99
- Thanks to the
100 or so people who came out to see us at Legends. It proves my theory that
there is a scene in Raleigh if people actually try. Next time we'll run through
a PA, to prevent further feedback issues.
- The Nomad Project
AV ECD is almost complete. We've been working with a different local producer,
J. Kevin Thomas, and have a video for 'Nothing Sacred'. We've also have live
recordings of 'Nothing Sacred (faster)' and 'Xtian Girl' on the CD as well.
It plays on Mac and PC, imagine that!
- As soon as I
get the studio set back up, I'll be working on a Nomad Project AV LP (!) Yeah,
yeah, I keep saying that, but this time I think I might actually mean it :)
- I think a zine
would be fun to do, though I'm not sure what I'd put in it.
- I guess I should
mentioned the 01.20.99 Brewery show. It was nice, and thanks to all who came
out to see us.
- Ditto that on
the Tremont show with Xero G
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 11.12.98
- Thanks to those
who made the Duke Coffee House show. The sound wasn't spectaular, but we did
blow a fuse half way into our third song!
- Abort, Retry,
or Fail? v3 should be here soon. Apparently, UPS are a bunch of morons. 'to
sleep' with be the Nomad Project AV track.
- T-shirts are
done! Colors and sizes are varied. A steal at $10/ea. Here's the logo on them
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 03.03.98
- Ok, so it's
been awhile, sorry
- Nomad Project
AV is in studio, working on 'i want 2 sleep' and 'Christian Girl'. One of them
for the next Abort, Retry, or Fail? v3 CD.
- Thanks to the
100+ people who came out to the Brewery (01.21.98) to see Logical Sound Discovery,
Lilies of the Field, and us
- We've started
working with a local producer, Diana Wolstenholme, for videos. More information
on this as it becomes availible.
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 11.18.97
- This is late
news to some but, Nomad Project AV is proud to announce the lastest in a soap-opera
of guitarist,
Joe Levinski!!
Look for him at shows,
in videos, and chillin wit da ho's.
- We will be playing
at the Gummi Fetish Undergound 9 party. This could be your only chance to spank
a Nomad. Come early, and apologize!
- There is a tentative
show on Wednesday, Jan 21st at the Brewery in Raleigh. Watch this space for
details..
- +Alternate Twinge+
is comming along smoothly. There should be a Nomad video (from the film "Enough
For Two") aired soon. You see, that's where the V in AV is from.
- I'd like to
personally give 'props' to Webster S. for the monitor boxes he made for us.
Rock on Accountant-Man!
- Yes, I think
I really like her. But how do I tell her?
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 8.19.97
- Compilation
CD is completed! We should have them by the end of the week!
- Somethings just
never seem to change. The same people the same stories, (hell, the same webpage).
In the end, it really makes no difference. Some of us try, just to have a souvenir
of the experience.
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 7.24.97
- You might want
to update your bookmark file, we've gone pro! The Damage Records Homepage is
now at http://www.damagerecords.com
- The new compilation
CD is expected the second week of August. Be onthe lookout!
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*

our fans. Watch this space for more details!
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 5.19.97
- Well, as fate
would have it, Nomad Project AV is now a two piece. A fond farewell to Micah
Roos as bassist/man treat. Never fear, my dear, for he shall rise from the ashes
like a phoenix in Right Front Chamber (an electronic project of the most
dastardly intentions..)
- The next Damage
Records compilation will be out soon, have faith my child.
- I think I've
fallen in love again...
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 4.30.97
- Hmmm. The constant
bullshit is never ending. Evey little person in the local, in-bred scene wants
to have their cake and eat it to. Dance for me, my little puppets. How can you
critize something such as 'Melrose Place' when this is the way the scene chooses
to act.
- After surfing
the web, reading other electronic bands homepages to see what like minded individuals
were doing, I came to one conclusion: IT'S ALL THE SAME! Honestly, give up the
'I'm so fucking tortured I can only feel hate' attitude. You've got privileges,
you're on the damn internet! You have all this nice gear to record your preconcieve
notion of hate. Interesting that most anger is in 4/4 time, eh?
Me? Hypocritical?
Perhaps. I'll agree to the fact that it's not much different in the Nomad, but
some people need to take themselves a lot less seriously.
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 4.13.97
-Ok, so I don't
update this regularly, but I don't think anyone reads this anyway
-NPAV has been
recording at PostPro studios for the next Damage records compilation. We have
recorded 'crucified' (finaly!),'beside myself with you', and 'nothing sacred
(hurried)'. Look for two of them on the next comp.
-NPAV has sold
out! We are now on the Interpath Software CD, Track 01. The track is from 'Abort,
Retry or Fail?' You can't buy the CD, we can't sell it. Mail me and I'll tell
you how to get it.
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 1.6.96
-Who would have
guessed it? We have a new member. Coming from the tar pit of those [now defunct]
industrial denziens at HHG, Ladies and Gentle Toung-Tounge's bend over and kiss
your ass for Micah Roos! He will be bass guitar, keyboards, backing vocals,
and all around man-treat for NPAV! Give him a little love when you see him next.
-The Damage
Records 'Abort, Retry, or Fail? is availible now. Get busy and get one!
-NPAV gives a
heartfelt farwell to Anthony Staton and wishes him success in all future endeavors
(Oktober Tibet, Nesa, and Wolvescross).
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 10.15.96
-I finally heard
a test pressing of the CD, and it's damn good. You will want to buy many.
-Unfortunatly,
there's been small delay on the CD's, apparently there is a problem with the
cover art (yeah right). Waiting with nervous anticipation.
-We will hopefully
be producing more material, now that we've setup are digital recording suite.
(well, sorta, but we'll see how it turns out)
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 10.10.96
-The Damage Record
compilation 'Abort, Retry, or Fail' should be out before Halloween!! Keep your
eyes on this page on the main page for details!
-No we haven't
dissappeared!, We lost our lease at the old 21 Enterprise so we ended up dispersing.
The Ensoniq ESQ1's internal battery died. Many thanks to Matt Horton fixing
the beast. Also, the vocal effects processor is DOA but that has sent to repair
as well.
-And still to
this day, JLH, I can't forget what you turned me into, that night, three years
ago today. The hate is gone, but the pain lingers on.
*---------------------------------------------------------------------*
Events as of 7.11.96
-Eva O. show in
Fayetteville was great! I noticed a good number of Raleigh people there, as
well as Steve Miller from Black Cat productions (from Charlote). Eva O. was
good and everyone in their band was cool and very personable. We'd also like
to thank Bur Monter [bitch monster] for opening up for us,even if they did come
on stage late and make us cut 3 songs from the set. Thanks a lot, assholes.
(Y'all can email me personally if you got complaints)
-Our gig at Players
was pretty cool. We got off to a bad start, everything was running later than
expected, but at least we had some new people show up to hear the sound.
-Slowly but surely,
the Damage Records compilation CD will be out very soon now. We'll get some
good quality samples up on the web asap.
-New release information:
2 new tapes on the market, 'Alpha', and 'Tease'. Look for them on a new page
here.

yes, that was us you heard on WRDU 106.1 (and our name was mentioned in the
commercial 6 times!)
